The Rim Cylinder lock, traditionally known as the ‘Yale’ lock, is most often used for front doors. The lock comes with a latch which has a snib function, and by using this, the door can be locked shut from the inside and cannot be opened by key from the outside. The door will also lock when shut without the aid of a key.
